my bio

 Birthdate and Place
My name is Jayda Nicole Chargualaf , I was born on May 2, 1995 at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California at 11:13 pm. I am Guamanian, Puerto Rican and Caucasian. My father’s side came from the beautiful islands of Guam and Puerto Rico. My mom’s side is from Ireland and German. I have a very large family and we are all very close and love spending time together.
           Family Members
I was born very early in my parent’s lives. They were very young and not ready for a child in their life. My dad had already had a son. When I became a part of my parent’s lives, my mom was still in school and had work. My dad had dropped out of high school to help raise his son with his previous girlfriend and he had to get a job and work.
          Childhood and School Life
I spent most of my time growing up with my grandparents they basically raised me until my sister was born 5 years later and then my aunt started taking care of us because she lived close to my house. When Amaya and I went to my aunt’s house she always took us to Sea World, Disneyland and the beach when my parents were working. We always did fun stuff when we were with her.
When I started school, I went to Pepper Drive for kindergarten through eighth grade. I loved being at school and playing with all my friends. Kindergarten is where I made my first best friend. We did everything together until we got to high school. I got into sports and getting ready for my future and high school just seemed to drift us apart. I enjoyed many parts of high school for example, I have an amazing boyfriend his name is Jordan Aposhian we look foward to graduating together and also going to college together, that was a definate positive. I made a lot of new friends and also lost a lot. I guess you can say it’s a life experience. I’d rather of stayed in elementary school where you didn’t have to worry about a thing in the world except what you were eating for lunch. School had become harder for me in 6th grade. My parents had to always come to meetings so I could get extra help from my teachers because I had attention deficit disorder. It has become easier to control as I grew with it.
             Hobbies, Interest and Activites
When I am not at school I used to play soccer and I also cheered for club, year round at the same time. Unfortunately I tore my ACL and had surgery, following that I had to quit both sports for recovery.
Some other things I enjoy doing when I’m not doing sports are working on cars with my boyfriend. We also go to the desert and the river a lot. When we aren’t out of town we go to the beach and go longboarding or go hiking. We love to stay busy and active.
           Ancedote
I am currently a senior at West Hills High School in Santee, California. I look at myself as very creative, artistic, athletic and independent. I am creative because I love making something out of nothing. I make signs for my room and friends. I use wood, tin, wire, paint and to add a little jazz I use sparkles and put my favorite quotes on them. I am athletic because all my life I grew up around sports and played sports. I played cheer, soccer, volleyball and basketball. I loved doing sports because it was always entertaining for my family and it kept me busy. The reason I call myself independent is because I had to grow up and mature very fast since my parents weren’t always around and I had a younger sister that looked up to me. I am so very shy but super talkative if I am comfortable with you. My personality defiantly comes out the most in front of my friends and family.
              Career
When I graduate from high school, I would like to do the same line of work as my mom, as an insurance representative or possibly an agent. She has taught me a lot of what she is currently learning. I have read a lot of articles and books about the topic of insurance. It’s a lot of hard work and traveling, but that’s exactly what I want in a job, adventure and a new learning experience every day.
